Rated 1 out of 5 by dcr1863 from Decent design, terrible quality Unless you are installing this product into a stud, the drywall anchor is not going to exist able to back up the pressure that it takes to set up the leap that has to be pushed upwardly so that the meridian of the hook tin can be fastened. After putting half-dozen holes in my wall and using different anchors other than what was provided and breaking off one of the pieces of cheap aluminum that keeps the spring in place, I'm going to throw it all in the trash and Spackle my wall. I see how non accept a prepare screw and necessary hole is preferable, but this pattern leaves a lot to be desired.

The merely thing i can think of is the people installing did non read the directions or employ acceptable wall anchors. Mine did mount into a stud so i used long enough screws to secure it firmly into the stud and the mounting worked easy breezy. I hang my wet towel on it everyday and information technology works fine. Towel does not slip off. I also installed the matching toilet paper holder with it every bit well into dry wall. One bespeak i would make is the directions say to turn the screw at least l total rotations. That is of import because if you lot dont - you volition retrieve you have the anchors securely mounted but they will non exist. They get tight turning but that is the drywall anchors tightening behind your drywall. You need to keep screwing until it gets loose and so RETIGHTENS a second time and that volition be firmly and securely mounted. I suspect the other buyers DID non quite understand that. I am very happy with my purchase.

Thought we finally had it installed but it came off the wall with my towel the other solar day. Guess I'll be heading to the Delta website to effort to figure this out. Very disappointing since it looks actually nice.

Rated 1 out of v by Crumpet from Terrible Installation We purchased this claw and towel bars to go with the bar facet. The design is awful. We now have 4 sets of huge holes in the wall as the anchors simply "curve" when gently tapped. Nosotros tried using other anchors and screws only to detect it is impossible to get the hook on the latch provided. I now accept a huge drywall mess and no hook. Needless to say information technology is all going back to Lowes tomorrow. What a nightmare. Need to be a expert carpenter to put them in.

Besides having bug with the install. 1 went on perfectly simply the second wasn't totally flush and information technology keeps coming off the wall and making a mess of things. Going to supplant the larger towel bar with hooks.
